Chocolate Gujhiya

Chocolate ghujiya is guilt free. It is different from the regular ones. Everyone will enjoy eating it. So enjoy your festivals by making chocolate gujhiyas.

Cooking Method :   
Stove Microwave

  For Dough-                                

   2oo gm APF (Maida)             

   50   gm Powdered Sugar        

   1/3 Cup Clarified Butter                                                              

 For Sugar Syrup-                          

   1/4 Cup Water                               

 Few Strands Saffron soaked in milk

For Stuffing-

1/4 cup chopped Cashew Nuts

1/4 cup chopped Almonds

1/4 cup chopped Walnuts

1/2 Cup chopped Milk Chocolate

1/2 Cup Sugar

50g Powdered Sugar

1/8 tsp Nutmeg Powder

For sugar syrup, add sugar and water.

Make it one thread consistency sugar syrup.

Add saffron mixture to the syrup and stir. Switch off the flame and let it cool.

Take maida and ghee and mix them well. Make a soft dough using water.

For stuffing, mix walnuts, almond, cashews, chocolate, powder sugar and nutmeg powder well.

Make a slurry of maida and water.

Divide the dough into half and flatten it on a board.

Cut with a round cutter of 3 inch diameter.

Take a disc and keep a spoonful of stuffing and seal it properly with maida slurry and a fork.

Place them on a baking tray and brush with clarified butter (ghee).

Bake in preheated oven at 200 degree for 15 minutes.

Take them out and allow to cool.

You can also fry them. Fry them in hot oil on medium high flame till golden brown.

Take them out and allow to cool. Cut and have a look at the chocolate inside.

Dip the ghujias in the syrup and let them dry.
