Cooking Method :   

  1/2 Cup Urad Dal (White split lentil) (soaked for 2-3 hours)

  1/2kg Fresh Curd

  2tsp Salt

  1/2Cup Tamarind Chutney

  Oil for Frying

For seasoning:

  1/2tsp Red Chili Powder

  1/2tsp Salt

  1/2tsp Black Salt

  1/2tsp Roasted Cumin Powder

Make a fine paste of urad dal using little water in a grinder.

Take out in a big bowl and beat with a whisker for 5 minutes.

To check the batter consistency: pour small amount of batter in a bowl of water; if it floats then the batter is perfect.

Dip a rice spoon in a water bowl and take a small amount of batter and fry as shown in the video.

Fry in hot oil on low medium flame till they are light brown.

Meanwhile, add 2tsp salt in 1-1.5 liter water.

Take out the fried vadas and dip immediately in the salted water.

Soak them for 30 minutes.

For assembling-

Beat curd.

For assembling: Squeeze water from the vadas and place them on a plate.

Pour curd, chutney and add seasoning according to taste.
