Club Kachori

Club Kachori is very easy to make and can be made with very few ingredients. The masala puri is served with spicy and tangy besan aalu sabji. It is a good breakfast and everybody will love eating it.

Ingredients - For Poori

  1/2 Cup urad daal (Split Black gram) (Soaked for 3 hours)

  1 Cup Rava (Semolina)

  1 Cup Maida (APF)

  1 Tbsp Oil

  1 Tsp Red Chili Powder

  1 Tsp Salt

  1 Tsp Roasted Cumin powder

  A pinch asafoetida and oil for frying

 For Aalu sabji -

  3 Boiled and Peeled Potato

  1 Tbsp Panch Phoran - Mustard seeds, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, Onion seeds, Fenugreek seeds.

  1 tbsp oil, salt and red chili powder to taste, 1/2 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp coriander powder,

1 tsp dry mango powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder.

  1 Tbsp Besan (Gram Flour)

  A pinch Asafoetida

Add soaked dal in a mixture jar and make a thick paste.

Add rava, maida, cumin powder, salt, red chili powder, asafoetida and mix well.

Add oil and mix well.

Add dal paste and prepare a little hard dough. If needed add water.

Add little oil and knead the dough for a minute.

Cover and keep aside for 30 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan and crackle panch phoran.

Add besan and roast it on low flame for 2-3 minutes.

Add red chili powder, coriander, turmeric, salt and cook for a minute.

Add little water and stir it.

At this point add one glass water and bring to boil.

Mash the potatoes and add in boiling water.

Add mango powder, garam masala, fresh coriander and cook for 7-8 minutes on low flame.

Make small balls. Roll in 2.5 inch diameter.

Fry in hot oil on medium high flame till they become little red in colour. Take them out.

For assembling- Make a hole in fried poori and fill the aalu bhaji and serve.
