Chocolatey Vermicelli

Vermicelli.Seviyan,Sheer Khurma is a popular indian sweet often prepared on Eid. Here I Have given a twist to the regular seviyan by adding chocolate to it. It is very easy to make.



Preparation And Cooking Time

30 Min.



Cooking Method :   

  1/2L Full Cream Milk

  1/2 Cup Vermicelli

  1/2 Cup Sugar

  1tbsp Raisins

  1tbsp Ghee

  1tbsp Chopped Almonds

  3tbsp Cocoa Powder

  2tbsp Powdered Sugar

  1tbsp Vanilla Custard Powder

Heat 1tsp ghee and roast almonds for a minute.

Add raisins and roast for a minute and take out on a plate.

Again heat 1tsp ghee in the same pan and roast vermicelli till light golden brown.

Add milk and let it boil on low flame for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Transfer on other stove and let it cook.

In other vessel, add custard powder, powdered sugar and cocoa powder.

Gradually add 300ml water and whisk continuously. Make sure no lumps are formed.

Cook till it thickens. It will take around 5 minutes.

Take off the chocolate sauce from the stove and bring the vermicelli to the front.

Add sugar and cook for 5minutes on medium high flame.

Add chopped almond and raisins.

Add 3/4th of the chocolate sauce and mix well.

Switch off the flame and let it cool.

Pour prepared vermicelli in a serving dish and flatten with spoon.

Pour rest of chocolate sauce over it and decorate with almonds.

Innovative chocolate vermicelli pudding is ready.
