Matar Paneer Pulao is a one pot meal recipe. Easy to make, quick and rich in taste.
Basmati Rice (Soaked for 20-30 minutes)
Cup Fresh Green Peas
Gram Diced Paneer (Cottage Cheese)
White Pepper Powder
Tsp Salt or to taste
Leaf, 5-6 whole Black Pepper, 3-4 Cloves, 1 Inch Cinnamon stick
Whole Red Chilli
Cup Clarified Butter (Ghee)
Cup Broken Cashews
Tbsp Lemon Juice
Heat clarified butter
(ghee) in a pan. Fry cashew for a minute.
Fry Paneer (cottage
cheese) till they get brown marks.
In the same ghee add
whole red chilli, cinnamon stick, bay leaf, black pepper corns and cloves.
Add green peas, stir and
cover for 2-3 minutes. Allow to cook.
Add pepper powder, salt
and 2 cup of water. Cover and bring to a boil.
Uncover and add rice,
give it a gentle stir. Cover and allow to cook on low flame.
Add sugar, lemon juice, raisins,
cottage cheese and cashew when they are half done.
Stir gently and cover it.
Uncover and stir with a
fork to prevent rice from breaking.
Switch off the flame.
Cover and keep aside for
10 minutes untouched.
