Multigrain Mathri

Multigrain mathri, this is a mixture of 7 types of flour. which can be baked or fried. This is the healthiest choice for savory lovers. You can call them mathri and cookies both and you can store them for 15 - 20 days.

Cooking Method :   
Stove Microwave

  1/2 Cup Rice flour

  1/4 Cup Wheat flour

  1/4 Cup Maize Flour (Makki Aatta)

  1/4 Cup Chickpea Flour (Besan)

  1/4 Fine Semolina (Rava)

  1 Tbsp Oat meal

  1 Tbsp Black split lentil flour (Urad dal powder)

  1 Tbsp Butter

  1 Tsp red chilli powder

  1 Tsp Sesame seeds

  Few curry leaves torn

  1/2 Tsp Black pepper Powder

  A pinch of asafoetida, Salt to taste

Add all types of flour and spices in a vessel.

Mix thoroughly with hands.

Gradually add water and make a tight dough.

Cover it and keep aside for 20 minutes.

Uncover it and take a handful dough. Roll into a disc on a greased plastic sheet.

Cut in small round shape with a cutter. Prick them with a fork.

The thickness of mathri should neither be thick nor very thin.

Here I am showing both the methods of preparing multigrain mathris. One of them is baking and another one is by frying.

For frying - Deep fry them in hot oil on low medium flame. Take out them from oil.

For baking arrange them on a baking tray and bake on 200 degree Celsius for 15-18 minutes.

Take them out and enjoy healthy baked multigrain mathris.

Healthy multigrain mathris are ready to eat!!
