Badam Barfi

Badam Kesar barfi is tasty and rich in taste. Here I have prepared this popular Indian sweet with condensed milk which is easy and quick to make. Enjoy the festive season with this fresh home made sweet.

Cooking Method :   

  150gram Almonds (1Cup)

  200gram Condensed milk

  1/4 Cup Milk powder

  1 Tsp Clarified butter (Ghee)

  Few strands of saffron soaked in 1tbsp milk.

  1 Tsp Pistachio flakes (optional)

Soak almonds for overnight. Peel the almonds.

Add almonds, saffron milk and half amount of condensed milk in a mixer jar. Grind it.

Add rest of the condensed milk and make a smooth paste. Almond paste is ready.

Heat clarified butter in a pan and add almond paste. Mix it nicely.

The flame should be on low in whole process.

Add milk powder and cook till it thickens.

Mixture has started to thicken. Stir continuous to prevent burning.

The mixture is almost done. For checking the right consistency, grease the hands with ghee and roll the prepared mixture, if it rolls properly then the mixture is perfectly done.

Grease the plate with ghee and transfer the prepared almond mixture. Allow it to cool for 8-10 minutes.

Collect it with the greased hands.

Grease plastic sheet and rolling pin.

Place the almond mixture on the greased sheet and roll into a disc.

Keep in fridge for 20 minutes.

Cut it with a sharp knife in a desired shape.

Place a pistachio flakes on each piece of sweet.

Enjoy festive season with homemade almond sweet.
