Palak Paneer Moong Dal Cheela

A healthy and delicious palak paneer moong dal cheela is easy to make and perfect as a breakfast, tea time snack, kids lunch box and can be served in parties too.

Cooking Method :   

  1 Cup green moong dal (Split Green Gram) (soaked for 4-5 hours)

  1 Bunch spinach roughly chopped

  1/2 Cup curd

  1/4 Cup Gram flour (Besan)

  250Gram grated Cottage Cheese (Paneer)

  1/2 Cup finely chopped carrot

  1/2 Cup finely chopped french beans

  3-4 green chilli

  1 Inch roughly chopped ginger

  1+1/2 Tsp salt

  1 Tsp Black pepper powder

  1 Tsp Chaat Masala

Add soaked moong dal, green chilli, ginger, spinach, salt and black pepper in a jar. Grind it and make a fine paste.

Add curd and gram flour. Grind it again.

Pour the prepared batter in a bowl. The consistency should be pouring.

For the paneer stuffing, heat oil in a pan. Add carrot and french beans, pepper powder, salt and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Allow to cool and add grated paneer. Mix well.

Grease the pan with oil and wipe out extra oil with a tissue pepper.

Pour the batter and spread with a spoon. Flame should be low.

Sprinkle little oil on the sides of the cheela. Increase the flame and roast it till the cheela's sides getting brown.

Flip the cheela and roast it from other side too for a minute.

Flip again and place prepared stuffing on cheela.

Fold it like a dosa and serve.

For the parties, you can prepare small pancakes. Sprinkle chaat masala over it and serve hot.
