Mixed Pickle

Mixed pickle is liked by everyone. Now you can prepare it at home in an easy manner in few minutes. This pickle is storable and delicious.

Basic Ingredients

Cooking Method :   

  1 Cup chopped raw mango

   1/2 Cup chopped lemon

   1/2 Cup chopped carrot (one inch long)

   5-6 green chilli (cut in lengthwise)

   1/4 Cup ginger julienne

   1tbsp fennel seeds

   1tbsp yellow mustard seeds

   1tbsp red chilli powder

   1/2 tsp turmeric powder

   1tsp onion seeds (kalonji)

   1tsp Fenugreek seeds

   1Tbsp Salt

   1Tbsp Vinegar

   A pinch of asafoetida

   1/2 Cup Mustard oil

Crush the mustard seeds coarsely.

Add all ingredients except oil and mix well.

Cover and keep aside for 30 minutes.

Uncover and mix well. All the spices should merge properly.

Add oil and heat till oil starts smoking.

Afterwards allow to cool for 3-4 minutes.

Add mixture of vegetables and spices. Mix nicely and cook for 4-5 minutes on low flame.

Switch off the flame and add vinegar. Mix well. Allow to cool and store in a glass jar.

Hygienic homemade pickle is ready!!
