Whole Wheat Tutti Fruitty Cake

Whole wheat tutti fruity cake is an easy, healthy and delicious tea time cake. This recipe is perfect for beginners. The buttery and rich tutti fruity cake is liked by all.

Cooking Method :   

1Cup = 250ml

  1+1/4 Cup Whole wheat flour (Aatta)

  1/4 Cup Vanilla Custard Powder

  1 Cup powdered sugar

  1 Cup fresh curd

  1/2 Cup unsalted butter

  1+1/2 tsp Baking powder

  1/2 tsp Baking soda

  1tsp pineapple essence

  1/2 CupTutty fruity (fruit candy)

  1/4tsp salt

  1/4 tsp yellow food color (optional)

  Milk as required

Add whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and custard powder.

Sieve it for 3 times. It gives more softness and fluffiness to cake.

In another bowl add butter and sugar and beat for 3-4 minutes.

Add curd and mix well.

Add yellow color and pineapple essence. Mix well.

Mix 1tbsp dry flour in tutti fruity which will keep the candy fruits afloat and they will not sink in the bottom of the cake.

Now add dry ingredients in wet ingredients and dusted candied fruit. Mix with "cut and fold" method.

Gradually add 1/2 cup milk or as required. Mix gently.

Here I have kept ready a cake loaf tin with butter and maida (APF).

Pour the batter in cake tin and spread it evenly with spatula. Tap the cake mould.

Sprinkle some tutti fruity over on cake batter.

Bake in a preheated oven for 35-40 minutes on 180 degree Celsius.

Switch off the oven and take out the cake.

Check it with a toothpick if it comes out clean that means our cake is perfectly done.

Allow to cool and demould gently.

You can see the whole wheat cake is super soft and looks delicious.
