Homemade Gravy Powder

This recipe is for those who are craving for delicious food and are short of time to prepare Indian gravies like, shahi panner, malai kofta, matar paneer, rich curries etc which are most popular among all over the world.

Basic Ingredients

Cooking Method :   

 1/4 Cup Cashews

 1tbsp melon seeds

 4tbsp coriander powder

 1tsp turmeric powder

 1tsp black pepper powder

 4tbsp onion powder

 2tbsp garlic powder

 1tsp Cumin seeds

 3tbsp Red chilli powder

 1tbsp Kashmiri red chilli powder

 1/4tsp Citric acid

 1tbsp Cornflour

 2 Bay leaves, 4 green cardamom, 2 pieces cinnamon stick

Dry roast cashews for 2-3 minutes on low flame.

Add melon seeds and roast them for 2 minutes.

Remove from the flame and allow to cool completely.

Roast cumin seeds.

Remove from flame.

Cashews, melon seeds and cumin seeds must be cool.

Add in mixer jar and grind it to make a fine powder.

Now add all other ingredients (except bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, cardamom) in jar. Grind it and make fine powder.

Place the ground powder in a plate.

Cut bay leaves in small pieces with a scissor.

Make small pieces of cinnamon sticks.

Crush cardamom and add in prepared curry powder.

Mix all spices with a spoon.

Homemade gravy powder is ready for instant curries.
