Red Velvet Rava Dhokla

This is an innovative red velvet rava dhokla recipe, which is instant easy, delicious and perfect to give surprise your guest.

Cooking Method :   

1Cup = 250ml

 1Cup Fine rava/suji (Semolina)

 1/2 Cup Curd

 1/2 Cup Beetroot puree

 1tbsp Ginger-chilli Paste

 1tsp Salt

 1tsp Fruit Salt

For Tempering-

1tbsp Oil

1tsp Mustard seeds, 1tsp sesame seeds

Few curry leaves, 2-3 Fresh red or green Chilli

For garnishing-Fresh coriander, 1/2 cup hung curd

Mix rava, salt, ginger-chilli paste, curd, beetroot puree in a bowl.

Mix well and make a thick batter.

Collect it with a spatula and cover it. Keep aside for 15 minutes.

Uncover and add fruit salt. Mix well.

Grease a round mould with oil.

Pour the batter in greased mould.

Tap it nicely.

Steam for 15-20 minutes on high flame.

Remove the lid and check it with a toothpick.

Allow to cool and demould.

The dhokla comes out very well and spongy.

Spread hung curd on red velvet dhokla.

Heat oil and crackle mustard seeds and sesame seeds.

Add red chilli and curry leaves.

Spread tempering on prepared dhokla.

Garnish with fresh coriander.

Mouth watering red velvet rava dhokla is ready to eat!!
