Paneer Toofani is a rich vegetable curry. A delicious North Indian curry made with Paneer (cottage cheese) and tomato based spicy gravy with Indian curry spices. It is rich, creamy, smooth and delicious.
400gm paneer ( cottage cheese) in small pieces
1/2 Cup Cashew Paste
1/2 cup Onion, Garlic, Ginger Paste
1 Cup Tomato Puree
1/2 Cup Fresh Cream
2 tsp Red Chili Powder
1 tsp Salt or to taste
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
3-4 tbsp Oil
1 Bay leaf, 1inch cinnamon stick, 6-7 whole black pepper, 3-4 clove
For tempering- 1/2 cup Finely Chopped Capsicum, 1/2 cup onion, 1/2 cup
tomato and 2 green chili
Heat oil in a wok, crackle bay leaf, cinnamon stick, clove and black
Add onion, garlic, ginger paste and cook for 4-5 minutes on medium low
flame till oil separates.
Add turmeric powder and red chili powder and cook for 4-5 minutes.
Add Cashew paste and cook for another 5-6 minutes on low flame.
Add fresh cream and cook for 5-6
minutes on low flame.
Add tomato puree, salt and cook for 10-15 minutes on low flame. Stir
Add paneer (cottage cheese) and mix gently.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a tadka pan, add green chili, onion and saute for 2-3
Add capsicum and saute for one minute. After add tomato and mix well and
switch off the flame.
Add prepared tempering in panner tufani, mix well.
Rich and tasty Paneer Tufani is ready to serve!!!!
