Orange Kheer

Kheer is an authentic Indian dessert to which i have given a twist by adding fresh orange juice and serving in a new way.......



Preparation And Cooking Time

30 Min.



Cooking Method :   

  500ml Full Cream Milk

  200ml Fresh Orange Juice

  1/2 Cup Sugar

  1/4 Cup Homemade Condensed Milk

  1tsp Pistachio Flakes

  2tbsp Coarsely Grounded Rice (soaked)

Add orange juice, 1/4 cup sugar and cook till it is reduced to half.

Switch off the flame and allow to cool. Keep it in fridge for 1/2 an hour.

Add milk in another pan and boil.

Add rice paste and cook for 12- 15 minutes on low flame. Stir it occasionally.

We need thick consistency. As shown in the video.

Add condensed milk and mix well.

Add rest of 1/4 cup sugar and cook for 2 minutes on high.

Give a good stir, switch off the flame and allow to cool. To bring it to room temperature.

Add reduced orange juice in milk and mix well.

Sprinkle Pistachio flakes and serve chilled.

Sweet & Tangy Orange Kheer is ready to serve......!!!
